CryENGINE 3 SDK 3.4.0 Trailer - Finally Good Looking Water

Paul O'Flaherty 0

The CryENGINE 3 SDK 3.4.0 DX11 update is out now and you can play with it for free. Check out some of the visuals below to see what can be achieved with the SDK (assuming you have a beefy enough rig) and prepare to be blown away.

While some of the effects are stunning, such as the particle shadowing, it’s the realization that we may finally have water effects that look decent that has me excited.

Here’s the develeoper minimum system requirements if you’re interested in trying out the SDK

  • Operating System: Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista SP1, Windows 7
  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz, AMD Athlon 64 X2 2GHz or better (a multi-core processor is strongly recommended)
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM (4 GB recommended)
  • Video Card: nVidia 8800GT 512MB RAM, ATI 3850HD 512MB RAM or better (SM 3.0 minimum)

Dishonored Cinematic Debut Trailer

Paul O'Flaherty 0

From Bethesda Softworks and Arkane Studios comes this dark and awesome looking trailer for Dishonored where you play an assassin with supernatural abilities such as teleport for stealth approaches, possess any living creature and even to stop time itself.

Dishonored is set in Dunwall, an industrial whaling city where strange technology and otherworldly mysticism coexist in the shadows. You are the once-trusted bodyguard of the beloved Empress. Framed for her murder, you become an infamous assassin, known only by the disturbing mask that has become your calling card. In a time of uncertainty, when the city is being besieged by plague and ruled by an oppressive government armed with neo-industrial technologies, dark forces conspire to bestow upon you abilities beyond those of any common man — but at what cost? The truth behind your betrayal is as murky as the waters surrounding the city, and the life you once had is gone forever.

Dishonored comes out for PS3/X360/PC in December and is available for pre-order on Amazon.

“Here Come The Reapers” Mass Effect Metal Rap

Paul O'Flaherty 0

TeamHeadKick’s Mass Effect 3 musical machinima is has YouTubers panties in a not as they argue over what genre of music it is, (rap, metal, nu-metal, hip-hop, etc..) but I just think it’s a pretty slick looking and cool sounding earbug.

Mass Effect 3 Gets Head Kicked. Heavy guitars, Comedic Lyrics, and a driving soundtrack while you take on the Reapers.

Paul O'Flaherty 0

In addition to Dragon Shouts, the Kinect for Xbox 360 integration offers voice commands throughout the game including Hotkey Equipping, Follower Commands, and all Menus (items, magic, pap, barter, container, favorites, and skills).

With voice commands, you can quickly create and load saves during gameplay and access menus and inventories. Skyrim’s Kinect support also adds new functionality including special map functions, additional hotkey options, and the ability to sort inventory items by name, weight, and value, with a full list of voice commands being revealed in the coming weeks
