They played out this fight in one of the Amalgam comics. Basically it was a draw. Here’s the text (the visual is Batman and Captain America facing off:
“As the battle rages . . . they face each other. Cautious. Determined. Experienced. Their eyes lock. They each draw breath.
Their blows land with almost no force at first. A tap. A brush. They test. Assess. A feint. A counter. A shift. A response.
Batman: ‘All right. It’s conceivable you could beat me, Avenger. But it would take you a very long time. Tell me this, though . . . do you want to?”
Captain America: ‘No. You’re not the enemy. We’re all just pawns, in a larger scheme.’”
So there you go: Batman concedes Cap would win after a long fight, but they’re both too smart to get dragged into a senseless battle to serve someone else’s agenda.
